What to bring to register a vehicle
- Bill of sale
- Title (if vehicle is 20 years old or newer)
- Form H-13B (Application for Registration / Title)
- CT Driver's License or ID
- CT Insurance card
- Emissions or VIN check (if required)
- CT DMV Compliance Check (Individual)

For a motorcycle
What to bring for motorcycle registration
- Motorcycle title (signed over by seller)
- Bill of sale with buyer/seller info, date, price, VIN, and signatures
- Previous registration (if no title)
- VIN verification (out-of-state or missing VIN)
- Valid photo ID of the owner(s)
- Completed CT Motorcycle Registration Application
- CT DMV Compliance Check (Individual)

For a boat or vessel
Boat & Vessel Registration
- Boat title or Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO)
- Bill of sale with buyer/seller info, date, price, HIN, and signatures
- Previous registration (if no title)
- HIN verification (out-of-state or missing HIN)
- Valid photo ID of the owner(s)
- Proof of sales tax payment (if applicable)
- Completed CT vessel registration application
- CT DMV Compliance Check (Individual)
